Welcome to HU at Ohio State!
We are a 501(c)(3) student organization at The Ohio State University committed to supporting the health of unhoused individuals in Columbus by offering medical education and linking them to primary care services.
Our Mission
Everyone deserves access to healthcare. In January 2025, over 2,500 individuals in Columbus and Franklin County were experiencing homelessness, marking a 7.4% increase from the previous year. These individuals often face stress, violence, unsanitary living conditions, poor nutrition, and other challenges that impact their health. Our goal is to empower unhoused individuals with knowledge about their well-being and provide resources that promote overall wellness.
